Why obsessing over being enlightened is dangerous.

I'm pretty sure that even the average person has heard of ✨enlightenment ✨ Most definitely in todays society with the new age spirituality.

Now for those of you that do not know what enlightenment is, enlightenment is "the action or state of attaining or having attained spiritual knowledge or insight." So what's the issue?

Well, the issue is that MOST of the modern teachings of enlightenment are full of shit and is leading people to be obsessed with the idea that seeking EXTERNAL guidance from gurus, spiritual teachers, Instagram witches, etc. is how they will become enlightened. Yeah, no..

Now, of course everyone needs a figure like that in their life but there's a difference between learning, evolving and gaining wisdom from said figure and being desperate for answers and constantly relying from said figure. And most of these figures feed into that.

Now imma say this because I know that I have "enlightenment" in my business name RTPENLIGHTENMENT. As a life coach, reiki master and shaman.. not once do I teach or even mention enlightenment. Because Enlightenment is something that must be discovered within. You can not reach the enlightenment that you seek by watching or listening to some of these gurus.

You have to dive deep within yourself and do the work. The wisdom that you gain is what will help you. Not me, not the famous gurus or the dogman down the street. YOU.

But here's the thing with that. Focusing on being enlightened, no matter what direction you take can block you from what it means to live this life as a divine multi dimensional being.

The obsession and the desperate need for answers or the unhealthy focus of becoming spiritual, etc will blind you from what matters in the here and now. Itll block your ears from hearing the answers that you seek. It'll teach you to be reliant on external sources rather than discovering what's already within you internally.

Its time you know your power from yourself and not from someone else. The answers you seek in already within you. 🙏
